Family Updates!

Well, I am behind on blogging AGAIN. I had a few posts from a while back that wouldn't publish last time I was on so they were published today. Anyways, lets see....Keagan is 5 1/2 months old. He is rolling over and trying to sit up. He has a tooth trying to break thru and finally sleeping thru the night now. We had such a hard time with him gaining weight in the beginning so we started supplementing with formula a few feedings a day and that really helped. That was of course after all the tummy aches and constant crying until we figured out he was lactose intolerant and needed soy formula. Apparently, I only make skim breast milk by the way!...lol. He is doing much better now and we are trying baby food. Baby cereal just seem to upset his tummy to much. I sure hope that is not a sign of trouble to come! He was not a good sleeper in the beginning either. He had to wake up and nurse every 2 hours for the first few months. It slowly started to get better. He is so much fun right now with his laughing and cooing. I just have to say I love being a mom!

Kami is doing well in school and is finally reading. She loves school and is anxious to learn something new each day. She is taking gymnastics and really seems to enjoy it. She comes home and practices after class. She is also doing really well in AWANAS. Her memorization's skills have improved drastically. She is really into arts and crafts and loves to play outside.

Kaleb is also doing well in school. He amazes me how quickly he picks up on new things. He doesn't like writing in cursive though. He is playing machine pitch baseball again this year and Tim is the coach. He likes playing pitcher or short stop. We are really working on good sportsmanship this year. That is such a hard concept for him. Kaleb really loves riding his bike and reading library books. He just finished up his bear badge for boy scouts as well.

Tim is working alot as usual and been out of town a lot this year training new managers in the area. He has finally gotten his store running smoothly so he doesn't have to worry about them while he is gone. He is such a hard worker and I am so proud of him. He still manages to come home and be a good dad and husband too. God has truly blessed me with a great man.

As for me, I went to weight watchers to lose my baby weight and then some and I am proud to say as of today I have lost 20.2 lbs and am training for another 5K in May. I still have another 40-50 lbs left to lose and am excited to say I feel I have found a program that that goal is actually attainable! God has reminded me I can take care of myself too and still be a good mom. Please keep me in your prayers as I fight hard to reach my goal!

I am excited that at the end of the month we will be taking our spring break/vacation to Grapevine. We are going to the Legoland Discovery Center and the Great Wolf Lodge. We are also going to take the kids to eat at the Rain forest Cafe and go back to Wylie and visit our old church and friends there. I can hardly wait. We were going to a Rangers game too but I feel that would be hard with Keagan. So, maybe next year!

Baby Shower and New house!

I have so much to update! I have been slacking off on blogging, but hope to do better this year. Let me start with the great baby shower I had. On September 18, Grammie Carol and my friends came together to make a beautiful shower for Keagan. I received so many great things and the decorations were adorable! And, Aunt Debbie was so gracious to let us have it at her house!

On September 30, we closed on our house. We were able to save enough money for closing costs and have the carpets cleaned. I am so thankful for our new home. It needs some work, but it is so nice to be able to say it's "ours"!! We moved in all weekend and Tim painted the kids rooms. We tried to put the crib together but somehow are missing 2 major pieces. Which is fine for now. We have a great backyard for the kids to play and a room for school. The boys bedroom is big enough for all their things and thankfully so is their closet.

I will have more to update as soon as baby Keagan is here!!!

Celebrate the Celebrations!

Oh my goodness, I feel like we have so much to be thankful for lately and what better way than to celebrate the good times!! We were able to go to Amarillo to celebrate my nephew's, Aidon, first birthday. We don't get to see him often but it was nice to be together with all the family for such a special event. He is such a cutie pie and already walking around. I loved watching him tear into his smash cake. He was so cute opening his gifts when his sissy wasn't helping...lol!

I finally reached the 32 weeks pregnant mark. I feel like this pregnancy is going so slow. I want to meet my lil man so badly and just hold him in my arms and spoil him rotten! I am so thankful I have felt good most of this pregnancy. I am really just a little tired these days and that is all. I tested negative for gestational diabetes after they suspected I might have it. And, all my other tests have been normal. Now we are just praying for a healthy and happy baby to arrive at the end of October.

Next, Tim and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. I am still in love with him and probably more so than when we first met. He has become the most amazing father and is really a great husband. I couldn't have asked God for a better guy! Getting to know him a little more each year and growing old together is all I ever wanted. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him. We took the kids with us on our anniversary trip and we all got to enjoy the Ft. Worth Zoo. It was a really fun day and the kids learned so much about the animals.

Then, we got to meet up with some old friends, ate supper and catch up. It was awesome seeing their growing family. We also visited our old church in Wylie. It was so great to see everyone. I truly miss that church and the challenges Bro. Kris gave us.

We decided to go to a Ranger's game for our anniversary gift to each other. We got the most awesome seats! (Worth every penny!!) Both kids got a foul ball and we got David Murphy's autograph. They displayed our anniversary on the video board and brought us goodie bags with shirts and fun stuff in them too.

30 weeks along

I am 30 weeks pregnant today. It's sooo exciting to say that! I can't believe that Keagan will be here in 10 weeks! (more or less) I have gotten almost every major thing purchased for him and Grammie Carol is throwing me a baby shower in September for all the little fun stuff. I look forward to each appointment with the chance of seeing him in a sono or just hearing his little heart beat. I prayed so hard for this baby and I am so thankful God allowed him to be a part of our family. Now that is not to say I don't have days where I wake up and start panicking about how I will care for 3 children and home school 2 of them. Sometimes I even think I am crazy for starting all over with a newborn when my youngest is 6. But then, I am reminded God is bigger than all this and He has a plan for us. I can't wait to til we get our house and we can set up the boys room and I can nest a little. I feel that urge a lot lately but there isn't really anything to nest...it's all in storage! Anyways, I just wanted to share my excitement with you all and thank you for your continued prayers for our family.

Big News

Thursday we had our 20 week sonogram to see how the baby was growing and see if we could find out the sex. I drank a coke to prepare my little darling for the show, hoping it would help. I was so excited to find out and to make sure that the baby was healthy. She took all her measurements and confirmed that the baby was right on track and looked great. The kids were just as anxious as me and kept asking if she knew yet. She worked her way down and the baby was sitting with his ankles crossed and the cord between his legs. He waved at us and took a big drink of the fluid, but didn't feel the need to show us what he was yet. Thankfully our songrapher was a VERY patient woman. She said go use the restroom and jump around a little. I did and rubbed my tummy and layed back down. And finally, the sweet lil baby moved just enough for us to see his man goods! Yay!! We are having a boy!

Tim and I are so excited just to finally know. I have already gone shopping for a few blue outfits. The kids were so proud to know they were having a brother too. Kami is especially excited! She can't wait to be a big sister. And, big brother Kaleb has plans for our little guy to play baseball just like him. Now we just patiently wait for his arrival and thank God for such an awesome blessing!!

Good Things Come To Those Who Wait!

We have some GREAT news!!! God has answered our prayer and blessed us with baby #3. We had a sonogram Monday, March 8 to determine the due date and it looks like our bundle of joy should be here around October 21. That means I am already almost 8 weeks along! We are so excited and and can't wait to meet our new addition. We did have a brief scare last week because the dr. couldn't find the baby, but everything turned out fine and we are praying for a successful pregnancy along with a healthy baby. Please join us in our prayer. The kids are so excited to have a new brother or sister coming. Kami will get to be a big sister for the first time and she is ready to take on the position. Kaleb can't wait to teach the baby the ABC's and Yankee Doodle. Tim and I feel like we are starting over with this one now that Kami is almost 6 and Kaleb almost 8. That's ok, we are up for the challenge as well. We are just taking it one day at a time for now but I promise to update you all on our progress. Expect many updates on Adams' baby #3!
